DENTAL/MEDICAL CLINICS

The dental ministry continues to grow. Last month 219 patients were treated and out of the number, 107 accepted Jesus as savior. The new workers have been faithful.

Recently, We treated a man from the village of Bilisinga. This village is located in the Gushegu- Karaga district. It is some distance from Bethany village (where we live). This man accepted Jesus as savior and told his entire family. As a result of his boldness and zeal, his mother, father, two wives, and all his children except one has accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and savior. Praise the Lord!

DISCIPLESHIP

We have added these villages to our discipleship training program: Tali, Kpachi, Gburimani-Tibogu, Tingoli, Kakpagulyili, Nyohini, and Bilisinga.

As a result of the weekly dental clinic, the number of disciples have increased. We need more prayer support and more short term and long term teams to come and help train the church leaders and new converts. The people are seeing the need for bible studies.

SPORTS EVANGELISM

Sports evangelism is starting to become a really a good way to introduce young men to Christ. More and more villages are becoming interested. We see this as an opportunity for a short term or long term missionary to come and reap a harvest. Many of these young men would not think of entering a church building due to fear.

FISH POND

The fish pond is doing well considering the fact that it is located at the foothills of the Sahara Desert. We really need to fence the pond since the local villagers have cattle who have been drinking the water.

EVENING CLASSES

The Sanga village evening and afternoon classes is the most successful of all the villages. The pastor of the local church, Pastor Steven, has.

been faithful to continue the classes in the absence of a trained teacher. The people are really serious in learning English which is the national language of Ghana. The Foshegu village has also begun evening classes and they have 22 students. Only the women in the Gingaani village are attending classes and they are doing well. Please pray for the people of these villages. Pray that more men will join the classes.

Benton & Elyse

Benton & Elyse are able to read up to 3 or more books a day, providing that it is not a school day. It reminds us of when we were children. Priscilla is still an avid reader. It is getting more and more difficult to find books with godly morals. We are aware that we cannot shield them from everything, but it seems that most of the books are written based on magic. We rather that they got a good foundation from the bible and it doesn’t help this knowledge to remain firm while reading about magic.
