THE SABBATH YEAR

This is the sixth year of our farm. Next year, the seventh year, we will let the land have a Sabbath’s rest. This year the Lord has shown great favor. We have had a great yield. This year the rains delayed which made it very difficult to know when to plant. However, in listening to the Lord, we decided to plant during the month of May. The ground was so hot and dry it did not appear that we had made a good decision, but as soon as the crop of peanut was planted, the rain came! It was a testimony to the non- believers. At the time we planted no other farmer in the area had ventured to plant anything, because of the dry weather. We were able to harvest and dry the peanuts during the rainy season. The Lord stopped the rain for a few days so that the peanuts could dry!

THE FAMILY CHURCH

We were blessed last August to have a team from The Family Church come and work with us (Amanda, Devin, Bill and Sam). They helped with the discipleship meetings. They were especially helpful in the dental and eye clinic. Bill helped us with our electrical work. Amanda, a very talented opera singer, gave us a recital. Sam helped with Benton’s school work. They all did yard work around the staff residences. They worked very hard and were a blessing to us

VOCATIONAL SCHOOL BUILDING

Work has resumed on the construction of the school building. The ministry has grown greatly and we need more space to train missionaries to be sent to other nations. Alabaster Project Ministries is positioning itself to train both local and international missionaries to be placed in the 10/40 window. We are hoping to complete at least the first floor of the three story school building.

A MIRACLE

We have a praise report. Two weeks ago, we bought a truck load of lumber from the southern part of Ghana, and rented a truck to deliver it to Bethany village. As the driver drove through the gate at Bethany village, he tried to make a sharp turn and the truck turned over with the load. God is Amazing!!!
