A MIRACLE AT THE CHURCH OF BLISINGA

The church of Blisinga continues to grow. Below is a picture of new believers assembled for worship service.

The chief and people of Blisinga have seen the hand of God through the snake bite and recovery of Issahaku. A picture of Issahaku is shown above. He is the oldest son of Alhassan – a newly converted Christian from Islam-Issahaku said he never wanted to become a Christian, unlike his father, his two wives and his brothers and sisters. On Sunday while church service was going on he left home to do some weeding at their farm. At the farm he was bitten by a viper! He ran to his father, who for two days, did nothing but kept praying for him. On the third day Issahaku told his father, “If you do not take me to pastor I will die”. Borrowing a motorcycle, three of them rode it for over 50 miles on the worst road you can imagine. This is what Alhassan, Issahaku’s father, said to me when they finally reached Bethany Village, “You are my everything so I cannot do anything without informing you first”. After much prayers and medical attention, Issahaku lives! Three days after a viper bite, without medical intervention, death is certain, except the Lord moves. He did move, and both Issahaku and the people of Blisinga are calling it a miracle. Issahaku willingly and gladly ASKED for his name to be written in “the book”. He called it the book, but we know it as “the Lamb’s book of life”. Amen! May God bless each and everyone who prayed for Issahaku. God not only saved his life but gave him eternal life! Below are the before and after pictures of Issahaku’s snake bitten foot. The people of Blisinga did not believe that he would live. He is alive!

VOCATIONAL SCHOOL

At the cross, Jesus said, “It is finished” (John 10:30). The blood atonement for our sins was completed! However, a new era began, the era of making intercession for us began (Heb 7:25). So it is for us; with the beginning of the vocational school, we accomplished the first phase of what the Lord gave us to do. The second phase begins immediately, we are moving from the pioneering phase to the establishing phase. At this stage we need more hands than ever. We need teachers to teach English language, hygiene, home economics, management and arithmetic. We need supplies for sewing, canning, baking, knitting, and crocheting. Besides the completion of the vocational school, we will need sewing machines, sewing materials and furniture for the school.

Though the vocational school has not been completed, we have started the vocational school with 3 students from the villages of Sanga and Cheshegu. Their names are: Amishaw, Miriam and Miriam. Please pray for these young ladies as they endeavor to learn a vocational skill. They have not had a single day of school in their lives.

PASTOR FRANK AND SUZANNAH BARBIAN

We were blessed last June, 2007, to have Pastor Frank and Suzannah Barbian to come and minister in Tamale. At the top of the next column, Suzannah is shown ministering to the ladies at the Sanga Village. Suzannah really ministered the word of God, explained the dangers of AIDS, and stressed the benefits of practicing good hygiene. Below this is a photo showing: Suzannah, Frank and a member of Nyerizee Village during an evening Bible story telling time. Frank spent a lot of time with Pastor Zak doing the discipleship classes in the various villages.
