CHRISTMAS 2011
Our Christmas of 2011 celebration was very similar to our Christmas of 1999. We did not decorate for Christmas 1999, simply because we did not have any Christmas decorations and very few supplies with which we could make any. Because of the severe dust in December we also decided not to decorate. Our joy was not diminished because of lack of decorations, in fact, it was increased. We have a keen sense of celebration in our hearts all year long. We carry that sense of celebration with us in everything that we do.
To give a gift and share Christ with someone brings such joy and celebration 365 days a year. So Christmas for us is not like any other day, but every day for us is Christmas.
Our guests are waiting in anticipation for the bible trivial game. Each one will receive a gift for each correct answer. The gifts include: bibles, sandals, clothing, jewelry, foot ware, school supplies and toys.
HOMEGOING
You may recall the story in our last newsletter regarding a dear friend who was prepared and ready to meet Jesus. Last December we celebrated her homegoing. A few days before her passing, the Lord revealed to her that her time of departure had come. She shared this news with everyone in the village. Of course, they only laughed and could not understand how God could speak to her, much less tell her she was about to die. It was glorious to see her surviving children come together to memorialize their mother. Mpaga had six daughters who were nonbelievers. During the celebration they had the opportunity to hear the gospel of Jesus. The Lord removed the veil from their eyes and 4 of her daughters accepted Jesus as Savior. Please pray for this family. Pray for her two daughters that did not accept. Pray for their husbands and children to accept the Lord.
During Mpaga’s last days on this earth, the Lord healed her ears. She had not been able to hear for several years. Mpaga was at least 80 years old.
A WONDERFUL SURPRISE
The village of Blisinga had an unexpected threat last December, 2011. The preschoolers of Creekside Christian Church donated school supplies to their local school. The children were very ecstatic, literally jumping for joy to receive the supplies including: pencils, notebooks, erasers, and pencil sharpeners. It is a blessing to them to experience the love and care of a people they have not met.
THE MINISTRY BUILDING
As you can see all the windows and doors have been installed in the ministry building. Also, the floor has been finished. We thank everyone who contributed to the completion of the first floor. May God bless you, and remember your generosity. Amen.
LEVERAGED MISSIONS SUPPORT
Four years ago John and Andrea McGarvey began using his business to help a few mission groups raise additional revenue. For 28 years, he has specialized in life and disability insurance among individuals, medical and dental practices, law firms, banks and other companies. When someone who supports a group like the Alabaster Project chooses to do personal or group insurance business with John, he and his wife have agreed to donate half the income to Alabaster Project Ministries. The mission group receives additional revenue at no additional cost to the donor. The Alabaster board is not endorsing John or disclosing names of donors. He has expressed an interest in our ministry and if you have questions about life or disability insurance, please feel free to contact him at www.leveragedonorsupport.org
