HEALTH CARE

Dr. Zack Stearns really comes alive in these remote villages as he keeps busy draining a cyst or cutting off some growth under the shady mango trees. On his fourth trip to Ghana, his wife Joan, his son, Evan along with Lara Wandzilak (a friend of the family) came to help with the health care services (photos above).

During the month of July, we had a record number of people to come into the Kingdom of God. Praise the Lord!! The Holy Spirit is working. The teams (see pictures to the left and below) from the University of Kentucky and the Family Church (Gainesville, FL) worked very hard doing soul winning, painting, dental clinics, and farming and much more.

DISCIPLESHIP

Praise God for the additional motorbike! Now we are able to send out Pastor Zack and Moses to more villages and they can stay for weeks at a time discipling the new believers. Also the bikes help us to economize our fuel consumption.

FARMING

Recently, Alabaster Project received additional farming equipment. A BUV (Basic Utility Vehicle) and a power tiller were donated by Gifts for the Nations an organization based out of Kansas. This equipment is really an answer to prayer. Below is a picture of King tilling the land at Ying Farm.

EYECARE MINISTRY FOR GHANA

During August of 2006, a team from Florida consisting of Dr. Jim Chamberlain and Phil Allen joined with Alabaster Project Ministries to evaluate eye problems in the villages around Tamale. 5 villages were visited in preparation for a ministry similar to the successful dental ministry already established at Bethany Village. Many problems were identified mostly due to the harsh climate and lack of any suitable medical facilities.

Fortunately, many of the eye problems found can be solved by glasses and the use of ocular lubricants to overcome Dry Eye Syndrome. More serious problems will require surgical treatment which is part of a long-range plan. Initial plans are to obtain glasses and raise funds to purchase examination equipment to help determine eyeglass needs. We solicit your prayers in helping get this important ministry established.
