MOUNT PARAN TEAM

Over the years Mount Paran Church teams have always been unique. This last team was no exception. The team had one mission in mind, opening the eyes of as many people as possible to the threat of water borne diseases.

With the aid of microscopes the team was able to show adults as well as students from various schools the different parasites in their water.

The visual aid enabled everyone to see as well as understand what is causing most of their sicknesses. Now that it is understood that this problem needs to be addressed, it is our hope that the village leaders will take a more active role in working to provide portable water for their villages and families. Everyone who saw the different parasites in the water is still talking about “What must we do to help our water situation?”

FOOTBALL

The number one sport in Ghana is football (soccer). Above is a picture of Lee presenting a soccer ball to the students at Sanga. Presenting a soccer ball to a school is a very exciting event. This gift will long be remembered by the students.

BLISINGA

When Alhassan from the village of Blisinga, mentioned the need for a church building, we encouraged him to pray and to trust God to provide the building. This is a testimony to
the faithfulness of God. Below is a picture of the Mount Paran Team beside the new church building. The church building in Blisinga (funded by The Family Church) is nearly finished. This building has been built to the glory of God and our prayer is that it will become known as a place where The Living God dwells.

FARM

This year we have planted corn at two locations. We planted in the villages of Ying and Blisinga. God has been very gracious to us. Although it did not rain for three weeks, as you can see from the picture above, the corn is growing and is very healthy. We give all praise and glory to God who is our helper.

LYDIA

Last February Lydia John had her eyes operated on at Bethany Village. Lydia was born with cataracts and had been blind all her life. According to the doctors’ diagnosis, surgery would not have helped Lydia. However, with God all things are possible. Below is a picture of Lydia ( on the right) carrying water from the well for her family. Lydia is able to see and no longer needs someone to lead her around. Praise the Lord!

KOCHEM

The picture of the people of Kochem, elated with the presents they received from the Mount Paran Team. All the men received caps and the women angel necklaces.
